Summer Naomi Smart - Kerra McConnell
A native of Salt Lake City, Summer has been performing on stage since she was 16. Her theatre credits include three seasons at Southern Utah's Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Robert Redford's Sundance Theatre, Hale Center Theatre, Disneyland Entertainment, and currently, as Nessarose in the Chicago cast of the Broadway Musical, Wicked. Summer received her BFA from Brigham Young University, majoring in Music Dance Theatre. While there, she performed and toured internationally as a three-year member of the BYU Young Ambassadors. Summer can be seen in the title role of Liken the Scriptures' Esther and the King, and made her feature film debut as Belle in Beauty and the Beast: a Latter-day Tale. Chris Heimerdinger has said of Summer: "Summer really shined on the screen. We auditioned over 600 different girls and picked Summer. I am of the opinion now that this is because no one else, but Summer, could have performed this role."


Moronai Kanekoa - Kiddoni
Yes, Moronai plays the Nephite. Starring in Fall 2007 as Brutus in the modern-day stage production of Julius Caesar, Kanekoa recently graduated from Brigham Young University with double majors: a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. One of his most recent film roles was playing Samuel the Lamanite in Joy to the World, produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Theater appearances include The Little Foxes, Angels Unaware, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Duke, Midsummer Nights Dream, The Winter's Tale, and Wind in the Willows. Kanekoa is a Certified Actor/Combatant, proficient in Unarmed Combat, Rapier & Dagger, and Broadsword. Moronai was thrilled to combine these skills with his love for acting: "Acting really [is] my passion. So when I got the part of Kiddoni, I was willing to lose 30 pounds in order to play the part of Kiddoni. I definitely loved the action scenes."


Brian Kary - Brock McConnell
From the Los Angeles area, Brian's acting career began in the third grade while performing in school plays. By sixth grade, his talents were easily noticed and a local talent agency eagerly picked him up. Since then, he has appeared in numerous commercials and television shows i. Brian is best known for playing Nicky on Desperate Housewives. Heimerdinger enjoyed directing Kary: "Brian has a lot of talent... he did a really great job. We auditioned a lot of kids, but in the end, we knew Brian was perfect for the part."





Alex Petrovich - Hitch
Alex Petrovitch is well-known for his incredible performances on such shows as ABC's LOST, Daytime Drama The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, and Passions. Born and raised in Washington D.C., Alex completed his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in International Relations and a minor in Afro-American Studies. Alex studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City. After a year in New York, Alex moved to Los Angeles, where he auditioned for film and television, and continued his study of acting at the Eric Morris Conservatory. In addition to Passage to Zarahemla, Alex has starred in several independent feature films. Although a seasoned actor, working with special effects was new to Alex: "It was a challenge as an actor working with a green screen. I'm glad to have that type of work under my belt. I loved it."


Jan Broberg Felt - Aunt Corinne
Most recently having played Nurse Louise on the popular television show "Everwood" on the WB, Jan's acting career began in Orlando, Florida, as a World Dancer/Singer at Disney World and Owner/Operator of Star Quality Performance Studios. An accomplished actress in film, television and theater, Jan serves as the Executive Director of St. George Musical Theater and has starred in a number of films including Mobsters and Mormons, Little Secrets (Columbia-Tristar), Baptists at Our Bar-B-Q, Poof Point (Disney), Message In a Cell Phone (HBO Family), and The Clubhouse Detectives Series. Theater productions include starring roles in Neil Simon's Chapter Two, The Sound Of Music, I Do! I Do!, Jane Eyre the Musical, Hello Dolly!, and South Pacific, with touring Companies including West Side Story, My Fair Lady and Company. Favorite directorial credits include West Side Story, Carousel, Cinderella, Bus Stop, Joseph., You Can't Take It With You, and Annie. Heimerdinger respectfully stated, "Jan is an incredible actress and very dedicated to her craft. She was really going through a lot while filming.with the passing of a loved one, but she was determined to keep her commitment. I don't know how she did it." An advocate for child abuse victims, Jan is a popular speaker and the spokeswoman for 'Child Shield USA.'
